A Real Hero: The Dominator

Carol sent me this story, and it moved me beyond words. It shows what the power of comics really is: The ever-inspiring belief in the best in yourself and the ability of that part of you to overcome whatever is thrown at you. That's what I kept thinking when I read about 7-year-old Dominic Osorio, who has been battling brain cancer valiantly. While he undergoes treatments, his mother helped him get through it by creating a superhero identity for him: The Dominator. And now, having heard that story, a local restaurant manager named Dave Anderson has paid for a comic book to be published based on the little hero. All the proceeds from the book are going to benefit St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital. It's an amazing story. I think we're all rooting for The Dominator, but we're all rooting for Dominic even more.
