Good News for Old Friends

Two friends of the site have done some very good things recently, and I wanted to let you know about them.

First up, Robin Brenner has relaunched her graphic novel review site No Flying, No Tights and even revealed the survey results for graphic novels in libraries. It's chock full of interesting data for readers, so be sure to check it out.

Second, congratulations to reviewer Brigid Alverson for being selected as a judge for the Eisner Awards next year! Brigid is an excellent choice for the committee, and I'm sure she'll bring all her expertise to bear next year. She's got a great sensibility and a wonderful approach to reviewing and evaluating graphic storytelling. She'll be joined by Calum Johnston (owner of Strange Adventures comics shop in Nova Scotia), school librarian Jesse Karp, Beanworld creator Larry Marder, professor Ben Saunders, and Comic-Con International Board of Directors Secretary Mary Sturhann. See the full announcement here.
