Graphic Novels On Screen in Boston

If you're near the Boston area, you may want to check out this cool movie series. Books to Film, sponsored by both the Boston Book Festival and Emerson College's ArtsEmerson, will take place on October 27, and it will feature films based on works by several authors who are appearing at this year's Boston Book Festival. Interestingly, the Books to Film series will feature both novels and graphic novels that inspired big-screen fare. The films being screened include Watchmen, Persepolis, Howl's Moving Castle, V for Vendetta, and Ghost World (that's the graphic novel-inspired portion, natch). The others: Friday Night Lights, Mystic River, Lemony Snicket: A Series of Unfortunate Events, The House of Sand and Fog, Gone Baby Gone, and Election. Here's a link for more info.
