Brunch This Sunday?

Tagged:

Two great organizations are teaming up in New York City this weekend, which is lucky news for you if you’re in the area and you’re a fan of creators like Jeff Smith, Paul Pope, Patrick McDonnell, Liza Donnelly, Michael Maslin, and Larry Marder.

The Society of Illustrators is hosting a brunch whose proceeds will benefit The Comic Book Legal Defense Fund’s Kids’ Right to Read program. The brunch will be held this Sunday, November 10, and it will be hosted by Smith, who has a new series coming out (TUKI SAVES THE HUMANS) that will be previewed there. Plus, the creators listed above will have art displayed, there will be a silent auction, and you can check out what the Society of Illustrators has on exhibit. It’s a great deal for a very worthy cause: $100, which will be donated to the CBLDF (it’s partially tax deductible, too). You can actually eat with Smith for $250.
