Super Diaper Baby 2: The Invasion of the Potty Snatchers

Don't be fooled by the names on the cover. SUPER DIAPER BABY 2: THE INVASION OF THE POTTY SNATCHERS is from the hilariously demented mind of creator Dav Pilkey (Captain Underpants). The names on the cover, George Beard and Harold Hutchins, belong to two of the co-stars of that popular series, who have here unveiled their new creation, Super Diaper Baby, who gained his powers by falling into some superpower juice.

Let's cut to the chase: This is a book about poop and pee jokes. Gloriously so.

Super Diaper Baby is tasked with fighting the villainous Dr. Dilbert Dinkle, who has been turned into a puddle of pee and who has vowed to destroy every toilet in town. Which would be a problem, of course. This story doesn't sit too well with the story's other villain, Principal Krupp, who thinks George and Harold's “talents” should be put to other uses.

The humor is fast and furious, if you're young enough to appreciate it. It's goofy, silly fun, and even the onslaught of misspelled words and grammatical mistakes (all intentional) are, in their own weird way, educational. It's clear kids will get the joke. Hopefully they'll learn from it, too.
